Job Description
We are looking for a highlymotivated Software Engineer who understands distributed systems and has a passion for solving algorithmically complex problems. In this role you thrive on building front and backend services and app and web tooling to compose highly personalized shopping journeys capable of scaling to billions of requests and build products reaching thousands of developers chartered with building exceptional digital experiences for shoppers in dozens of countries and in dozens of languages.

We look across the industry and in the open source community for inspiration to implement code and build systems and full CI/CD solutions that our builders depend on to scale their releases and service monitoring. Join our team and lead how Amazon builds the mobile app and web shopping experiences and establish the tools and services every Store Builder will use for the next 10 years.
5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
