0.5FTE Comprehensive Special Education K12 (165)
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Qualified candidates will hold CT certification in Comprehensive Special Education K12 (165) and will have excellent teaming collaboration and communications skills.
- Experience and knowledge regarding differentiated instruction and inclusive educational practices
- Knowledge of IDEA and the PPT process
- Knowledge and experience in instruction of reading using a variety of specialized programs
- Plan and implement appropriate and effective lesson plans using materials that engage all the senses
- Develop and evaluate measurable goals and objectives
- Evaluate students as needed using standards based and curriculum based measures
- Experience with DTI instructional practices and program development
- Supervise instructional assistants including an RBT relative to students on caseload
- Collaborate with regular and Special Services staff and administrators
- Establish and maintain frequent communication with parents of students on caseload
