Job Description
Sony Biotechnology Inc. based in San Jose California supplies advanced flow cytometry analysis and sorting technology for use in life science research. It markets products to private and public research institutions pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and large medical centers. The Primary Region for this role will be one of the following
NY Metro NJ PA DE with travel to other Eastern sub regions as needed.
OR
Mid Atlantic: MD VA NC DC with travel to other Eastern sub regions as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule and perform territory service work such as installation and preventative maintenance on assigned instrumentation.
Travel within drivable territory to visit customer sites.
Perform emergency repair visits in his/her territory. Is available to travel in order to help other field service representatives when
Communicate any product quality issues to the appropriate associates
Interface and work closely with territory sales personnel and Field Applications Specialist personnel
Responsible for account management ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction
Obtain and communicates leads identifying post instrument sales upgrades and accessories
Maintain targeted and orderly inventory balance of service parts sufficient to support service requirements within assigned territory
Keep abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and comply with such requirements
Honesty trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
An Associate or Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or military technical training
A minimum of 2 years experience in field service on medical diagnostic products or operating flow cytometers
Basic understanding of flow cytometry or related scientific disciplines is desired
Computer skills: typing emailing use of Salesforce preferred experience performing customer remotes preferred.
Strong analytical problemsolving skills
Strong customer focus
Excellent communicator and great ability to build relationships
Highly organized with excellent follow up skills
Selfmotivated teamplayer
Must have a valid Drivers license.
Must hold a valid US passport for travel.
Up to 75% overnight travel is required.
The candidate will be expected to work from home when not travelling.
Flexibility with schedule able to handle last minute changes to schedule

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $75000 to $110000. In addition to the annual base salary this role has an annual bonus target of 5%. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors which may include as applicable the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position years of relevant experience specific and unique skills level of education attained certifications or other professional licenses held and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
