Our 296 bed facility located in the District of Columbia is seeking motivated and compassionate Activity Aide Individual to join our Recreation Department.
The Activity Aide Assistant assist in the planning implementation and evaluation of recreational social intellectual emotional and spiritual programs in accordance with the residents assessment and care plan and as may be directed by your supervisor.
AS an Activity Aide Assistant you will perform the following duties:
* Interview residents or family members to obtain recreation information.
* Participate in facility survey ( inspection) made by authorized government agencies as necessary or as may be directed.
* Ensure that all charted recreation progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the residents response to service.
* Assist in arrangement for transportation for field trips.
* Must be able to transport residents from floor unto the elevator.
*Involved the resident an family in planning recreation programs when possible.
*Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary.
* Assist in scheduling movies planning parties and providing games and activities for residents.
* Make routine visits to residents and perform assistance with craft projects etc. as necessary.
Job Requirement:
* Must possess class C drivers License.
* Must be able to understand the English Language.
* Must have a least 1 year experience working in a Long Term Care Facility.
* Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
