Description
Summary:
This is an entry level position into leadership by serving as the person overseeing and directing the daytoday operations of the practice setting within their respective pharmacy and pharmacy practice. The lead technician will ensure services are provided in timely safe and costeffective manner according to department policies procedures and practice standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Performs all duties of the pharmacy technician they are leading serving as a role model for exceptional performance.
2. Provides oversight to ensure standard procedures are followed.
3. Evaluates and monitors team performance by auditing tracking & trending and educating and training.
4. Communicates feedback from observed performance and audits to leadership.
5. Directs and motivates individual daily performance toward organizational and departmental goals.
6. Develops schedule in coordination & approval of leadership. Also manages daily assignments.
7. Develops technician workflow in collaboration with pharmacists technicians & leadership.
8. Trains and orients new staff. Ensure required documentation is completed and approved by leadership.
9. Runs technician meetings.
10. Assist with reviewing writing and creating policy & procedures.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Computer skills ability to multitask and work independently.

Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Some occupational risk
Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt odors noise human waste etc.
