Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical Cyber security Data Analyst to join our team in a remote position. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets to identify security threats vulnerabilities and patterns that could impact our organizations cybersecurity posture.
- Collect process and analyze large volumes of securityrelated data from various sources
- Develop and maintain data models to support cybersecurity initiatives and threat intelligence
- Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to identify and investigate potential security incidents
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses using datadriven approaches
- Stay uptodate with the latest cybersecurity trends threats and data analysis techniques
- Develop and implement datadriven strategies to enhance the organizations security measures
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of security metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Participate in incident response activities providing data analysis support as needed
- Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations and security standards
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field
- 35 years of experience in data analysis with at least 2 years focused on cybersecurity
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python R and SQL
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools frameworks and network security protocols
- Experience with data visualization software (e.g. Tableau Power BI) to create impactful reports
- Solid understanding of machine learning and statistical analysis techniques
- Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and their integration into security operations
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to present complex findings to diverse audiences
- Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP CEH or CompTIA Security are preferred
- Experience with cloud security and big data technologies is a plus
Additional Information :
U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $69000 $105000. This range is a goodfaith estimate based on the qualifications necessary for the position including experience training and other considerations permitted by that may be used when making an offer may include a candidates skills experience and geographic location the expected quality and quantity of work and internal pay alignment as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive employees pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
