Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Special Projects Manager to work remotely. However the client is located in Sacramento CA and thus its expected that this individuals working hours be on Pacific Timezone.
JOB SUMMARY:
This role will support specific projects as assigned and works closely with and advises staff legal counsel and other team members throughout projects environmental clearance under NEPA and CEQA. This individual oversees and supports environmental document review working closely with leadership and project leads.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct senior/midlevel staff and regional consultants.
- Manage project schedules and budgets; ensure consultant timelines are met.
- Oversee and review environmental docs (EIR/EIS ISMND/EA/FONSI).
- Lead stakeholder outreach efforts.
- Manage admin record compilation and updates to environmental methods.
- Provide oversight for key projects (e.g. Heavy Maintenance Facility CEQA/NEPA regional solar project).
- Coordinate with CHSR branches: Environmental Strategic/Infrastructure Delivery Engineering Land Acquisition Legal.
- Develop strategic plans and timelines.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters degree in environmental planning or a closely related field and 15 years of experience
- Expertise in federal (e.g. NEPA) and state (e.g. CEQA) environmental law regulations and processes
- Understanding of federal and state regulatory permitting requirements
- Experience leading broad teams/efforts of senior specialists and managerial staff and a strong working knowledge of program standup and management
