Sr Software Engineer, Fullstack (Shared Services)

Our Cloud Management Platform group is in search of a passionate Full Stack Software engineer responsible to develop and design our scalable microservices used to activate all Palo Alto Networks cloud products.

Your Impact

• Collaborate with development teams and product managers to ideate and design software solutions.
• Architect both clientside and serverside systems.
• Develop and manage scalable NoSQL databases and applications.
• Create effective REST APIs with support for versioning.
• Write testdriven code to ensure highquality software.
• Produce comprehensive functional and design specifications.
• Provide suggestions and ideas for framework improvements.
• Develop datadriven software with a focus on a generic design approach.
• Innovate and introduce new ideas to the team.
• Proactively solve problems and deliver highquality solutions.
• Mentor and support the professional growth of junior team members.

Qualifications :

Your Experience 

• MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent military experience
• Expertise in NodeJS with 4 years of experience.
• Proficiency in ReactJS with 4 years of experience.
• Expertise in Golang with at 1 years of experience.
• Strong experience in TypeScript.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with JavaScript HTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with common software stacks and data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in writing secure code is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of data security and protection principles.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS is a plus.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes ecosystems.
• Expertise in NoSQL databases particularly MongoDB.
• Strong knowledge of NodeJS frameworks such as Hapi and ExpressJS.
• Experience with CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of various frontend technologies libraries and tools including NextJS Vue Bootstrap etc.

Compensation Disclosure 

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications experience and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level the starting base salary (for nonsales roles) or base salary commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $126000/YR $204500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
