We are seeking a skilled and experienced Test Architect to lead our testing strategy and ensure the highest levels of software quality. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in various testing methodologies and tools. You will be responsible for designing implementing and overseeing the execution of comprehensive test strategies across multiple projects.
What will you be doing
As a Test Architect you will be responsible for defining the overall test strategy designing robust testing frameworks and guiding the implementation of best practices in quality assurance. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure that testing aligns with business goals and contributes to the delivery of highquality software. Present the overall QA vision to mgmt. and team and drive for better quality.
Job Responsibilities
1. Test Strategy Development:
Create and implement testing frameworks that align with the overall software architecture.
Evaluate and recommend testing tools and technologies that best fit the project requirements.
2. Test Planning:
Establish the scope and objectives of testing activities including functional nonfunctional and performance testing.
Determine the resources needed for testing including personnel tools and environments.
3. Test Automation:
Develop strategies for automating test cases to enhance efficiency and coverage.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts and ensure they integrate well with the CI/CD pipeline.
4. Collaboration and thought Leadership:
Work closely with developers product managers and other stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with business goals.
Provide guidance and mentorship to QA engineers and testers on best practices and advanced testing techniques.
5. Quality Assurance:
Identify potential risks in the software and design tests to mitigate those risks.
Establish metrics for measuring the effectiveness of testing efforts and the quality of the software.
6. Continuous Improvement:
Implement feedback mechanisms to continually improve testing processes and methodologies.
Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.
7. Documentation:
Ensure that test plans test cases and test results are welldocumented and accessible for future reference.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
10 12 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
6 years of experience in a test architecture role.
Must have expertise in programming language (Java Selenium JavaScript or Python) for test automation scripting.
Strong understanding of SDLC STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Good at data analysis & analytics.
Excellent communication leadership and team management skills.
Deep understanding of various testing methodologies tools and technologies.
Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to think strategically and align testing efforts with business goals.
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
o Ensure that test plans test cases and test results are welldocumented and accessible for future reference using standardized documentation practices.
o Implement feedback mechanisms to continually improve testing processes and methodologies incorporating learnings from test results and industry best practices.
o Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.
o Identify potential risks in the software including security vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks and design tests to mitigate those risks.
o Establish metrics for measuring the effectiveness of testing efforts and the quality of the software with specific KPIs for automation coverage and defect detection rates.
o Work closely with developers product managers and other stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with business goals and promotes a culture of quality.
o Provide guidance and mentorship to QA engineers and testers on best practices advanced testing techniques and the use of automation frameworks.
o Develop strategies for automating test cases to enhance efficiency and coverage across web and API layers.
o Oversee the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts ensuring they integrate well with the CI/CD pipeline.
o Establish the scope and objectives of testing activities including functional nonfunctional and performance testing.
o Create and implement testing frameworks that align with the overall software architecture and support various testing types (e.g. functional performance security and web services).
