The Fixed Equipment Team Lead supervises a team of Fixed Equipment Inspectors Risk Based Inspection Engineers Asset Strategy Coordinators and Fixed Equipment Tech Assistants within the Chevron ENGINE that support Chevron Refineries and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) assets.
This role provides leadership to a team that supports Chevron assets to safely and reliably meet Chevrons mechanical availability operational availability and profitability targets. The Fixed Equipment Team works collaboratively with multiple disciplines including Operations Technical Routine Maintenance site inspections and Turnarounds. This team supports inspection programs reliability improvement programs mechanical integrity programs processes and tools and equipment asset strategy programs.

Provides leadership and supervises fixed equipment inspectors riskbased inspection engineers tech assistants and asset strategy coordinators.
Provides visible and active leadership to shape and strengthen asset reliability and integrity programs projects processes and efforts. This includes leading the improvement of equipment reliability mechanical availability and operational availability while also reducing the risk of process safety incidents.
Steward compliance with applicable industry codes and standards as well as applicable Chevron standards instructions and guidelines.
Provides mentoring and development for FEI team members including nationals expats and contractors.
Ensure that team is supporting facility Risk Based Inspection (RBI) programs Fixed Equipment Threats and Deficiency evaluations fixed equipment data management record keeping and reporting.
Ensure that team and individual deliverables are understood performance expectations are clear and that progress is measured and reported. Accountable for coaching and developing competence in these programs for the Fixed Equipment Integrity members.
Prioritize work and ensure the team is adequately resourced to meet deliverables.
Provide input into Turnaround scope by optimizing inspection intervals (utilizing Risk Based Inspection when necessary).
Develop appropriate competency to address key mechanical integrity and reliability priorities.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 815 years relevant experience providing fixed equipment integrity support in a complex oil and gas operating environment.
Must have a Mechanical or Materials Engineering degree or similar from an appropriate certified university
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience is highly regarded
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
