Job Description
Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Marketing & Prime functions while engaging with stakeholders across multiple emerging markets. This role will be primarily responsible for providing timely analysis insightful guidance and financial leadership to this highgrowth organization. Key deliverables would include:
Assist in measuring and reporting progress on key business & finance goals
Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews in a timely manner. Facilitate the business reviews with data analysis and follow through with business leaders on actionable items for improving business metrics over a period of time.
Create performance dashboards; Standardize & automate the existing reports
Responsible for performance reporting of key sale events
Perform adhoc business analyses and financial modeling. Present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions and planned future initiatives.
Support Audit and maintenance of headcount and Opex data
This role requires a selfstarter with good business modeling skills a keen attention to detail and good track record of influencing business partners. The candidate will need to be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy and hence needs to demonstrate a high degree of comfort with ambiguity besides holding a high bar on professional integrity.
3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
4 years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
4 years of identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process reengineering quality assurance) experience
Six Sigma Black Belt
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
Experience as a lean sensei or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
