As a Director of Software Engineeringat JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology Division you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams technologies and projects across departments. Utilize your indepth knowledge of software applications technical processes and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team responsible for developing communications surveillance technology solutions.
- Oversee the design development and deployment of surveillance systems and software applications.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product management sales and customer support to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in product design and engineering processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and best practices in surveillance technology.
- Develop and manage budgets timelines and resource allocation for engineering projects.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent fostering a culture of collaboration creativity and excellence.
- Stay abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning and decisionmaking.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10 years applied experience. In addition 5 years of experience leading technologists to manage anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Experience developing or leading crossfunctional teams of technologists
- Experience with hiring developing and recognizing talent
- Practical cloud native experience
- Expertise in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field
- Strong technical expertise in surveillance systems software development and network security.
- Proven track record of leading successful engineering teams and delivering highquality products.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
