Senior Planning Officer
Fixed Term Contract for 1 year

Working 37.5 hours per week
These are exciting times to be working at Birmingham one of the largest and most exciting Local Planning Authorities in the Country. While we have faced challenging times over the last year the continued growth of the city and the region is at the heart of the councils recovery strategy. As a member of the planning team you will be integral to this recovery capitalising on the significant development across the city and the arrival of HS2. The city has and will continue to experience significant employment housing and retail growth and this needs to be balanced against the need to manage development pressure and also protect and retain the Citys natural and built assets. The planning team is at the centre of this ambitious growth programme and we are seeking talented and driven people to deliver it.
We are seeking to recruit Senior Development Management Planners to help assessing a range of planning applications from householder to the more complex cases. We need ambitious planners who are willing to take on a variety of work in the most exciting city in the country.
