Description

An opportunity to join the Willis Specie team handling direct and wholesale risks from all geographies

The Role

Responsible for all aspects of handling and broking Specie accounts.
Service large/complex clients on a single policy or portfolio placement basis.
Understand a client or prospects business coverage requirements and key issues
Manage relationships and negotiate placement with the relevant insurance markets
Prepare client / prospect and market presentations and documentation
Determine appropriate solutions structuring and pricing
Identify appropriate markets and determine placing strategy
Create and grow relationships with underwriters in UK and international markets
Assist with the departments sales processes and the development of new business. Build and maintain a pipeline of new business enquiries and convert enquiries to orders where possible.
Ensure ongoing compliance with Willis guidelines and procedures
Ensure good relationships and communication with other wtw associates
Understand and use relevant wtw systems
Provides the highest level of customer service to existing and new clients maintaining profitable revenue and supporting the sales process for upselling and cross selling
Primarily based and working in the Specie Ipswich Team but also working with colleagues and on clients from our London Team as and when required.



Qualifications

The Requirements

Comprehensive knowledge of Specie insurance and clients.
Good communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent technical skills.
Ability to assimilate and apply large volumes of information rapidly
Negotiation skills coupled with the ability to be flexible and innovative
Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
Able to prioritise manage deadlines and work under pressure
Ability to adapt personal style to work effectively with a wide range of clients colleagues and underwriters.
Happy to attend client and underwriter visits and meetings as and when required.
Must be prepared to work with integrity and openness complying at all times with FCA and Willis requirements.
Good IT skills with excellent Word and Excel usage capability
