Leicestershire County Councils Transformation Unit is looking for a Change Officer to work within the Children & Family Services Change Team on its Families First Partnership Programme Officers support our Change Managers and Leads to discover design and deliver projects programmes and business change initiatives and ensure collective understanding of progress of our Strategic Change Portfolio through our Change Management Office function. We work with a hybrid remote/office working arrangement.

This post supports LCC on its transformational journey to becoming a modern and sustainable council for the future. The role of the County Council has changed significantly over the past few years. Demand for our services continues to increase expectations are high and pressures on our budget continue to grow. About the Role

  • Develop and maintain key documentation including benefits realisation plans risk and issue logs progress reports and others as required by Change Leads and the Change Office Manager
  • Support delivery of change initiatives through ownership of actions or work packages as directed
  • Facilitate the flow of essential information across the Strategic Change Portfolio by ensuring updates and requests for information are proactively prepared and provided in a timely manner
  • Organise prepare for and where appropriate facilitate key meetings including Project / Change Boards and workshops ensuring key decisions and actions are captured and followed up.

About You

To apply for this post you must:

  • Experience of working on projects in a supportive enabling role.
  • Experience of providing administrative support and coordination.
  • Experience of organising and facilitating key meetings such as Project Boards Project Team meetings and workshops.
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills ensuring an orderly environment for projects and objectives to be managed.

You must also have an understanding of and commitment toequality diversity and inclusion.

In addition we also expect you to shareour commitment to our valuesand will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.
