As a Senior Frontend Developer you will play a key role in the ongoing evolution and modernization of our frontend. Your deep expertise in modern JavaScript Web Components with Lit and advanced frontend architectures will be essential for migrating existing functionality ensuring exceptional performance and quality and helping define our future microfrontend strategy. You will also be instrumental in evaluating future technical directions and mentoring the team through code reviews and guidance.
Tasks
- Actively contribute to the migration of legacy frontend code to a modern architecture based on Web Components using Lit.
- Research and propose solutions for implementing Microfrontends including evaluating suitable build tools for this architecture (migrating from Vite or others).
- Design and implement reusable highperformance accessible and welldocumented components.
- Write clean wellstructured modern JavaScript (ESNext) following best practices.
- Optimize frontend performance (load times rendering asset optimization).
- Ensure crossbrowser compatibility and responsive behavior.
- Implement and maintain unit integration and endtoend tests for the frontend.
- Collaborate with the backend team to define interface contracts (APIs).
- Participate in defining and refining technical specifications and UI/UX requirements.
- Manage frontend deployment with familiarity with platforms such as AWS S3.
- Conduct critical and constructive code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to frontend architecture and best practices.
- Mentor other team members on modern frontend development Web Components and advanced architectural patterns.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues and frontend bugs.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of frontend development processes tools and team standards.
Requirements
You will rock at this role if you have:
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Senior Frontend Developer.
- Deep expertise in modern JavaScript (ESNext).
- Solid handson experience in designing and implementing Web Components ideally using Lit.
- Experience working with and migrating legacy frontend code to modern architectures.
- Experience with modern build and bundling tools (e.g. Vite Webpack Rollup) and the ability to evaluate them.
- Proficiency with Git version control and workflow practices (preferably feature branching).
- Strong experience writing automated frontend tests (e.g. Jest Testing Library Cypress Selenium etc.).
- Relevant knowledge or experience in designing and implementing Microfrontend architectures.
- Experience with frontend deployment (e.g. AWS S3 CloudFront).
- Proven ability to identify design and solve complex frontend and performance issues.
- Experience conducting thorough code reviews and providing constructive technical feedback.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and ability to collaborate closely with designers.
- Clear and effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Fluent Spanish and English are mandatory: You will interact with native and bilingual executives in a professional environment.
- French and German will be highly valued.
- You are based in Spain or you will in a short time
