Job Description
As the Senior Frontend Engineer for our Design System youll own the development of our component library and design standards. Youll bridge design and engineering by creating reusable accessible UI components that ensure consistency across Mews products. Collaborating with designers and engineers youll build scalable solutions document best practices and champion design system adoption while evolving our visual language to meet business and technical needs.
Your mission should you choose to accept it:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive component library using React TypeScript and modern CSS approaches
Create accessible responsive and reusable UI components following Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Establish and document design system standards patterns and best practices
Build and maintain tooling for design token management and component development
Collaborate with designers to translate visual designs into functional code
Implement automated testing strategies for components (unit visual regression accessibility)
Champion design system adoption across products and provide support to engineering teams
Optimize component performance and ensure crossbrowser compatibility
Communicate progress roadblocks and technical decisions effectively to stakeholders and team members
Participate in code reviews and team rituals to maintain quality and share knowledge

Strong experience with React TypeScript and modern CSS approaches
Systematic approach to building scalable and maintainable component architecture
Deep understanding of web accessibility standards and implementation techniques
Keen eye for visual detail and UI consistency
Effective communication in English
