Job Description

Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta serving the education needs of approximately 17950 students in 42 schools. EIPS is recruiting a parttime (0.5320.638 FTE) Music Teacher at Fort Saskatchewan Elementary.


Fort Saskatchewan Elementary serves approximately 310 students in kindergarten to Grade 6 with 18 teaching staff and 12 support staff. The school is located in Fort Saskatchewan AB approximately 20 kilometres north of Sherwood Park AB.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education degree
  • Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • Effective organization and classroom management skills
  • Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe supported and challenged
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
  • Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
