The Opportunity
Orrcon Steel is looking for a Shift Electrician in our Electrical Maintenance team based in Salisbury. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.
In this businesscritical role you will provide handson electrical maintenance services to our production teams who operate within a continuous manufacturing environment. Your contribution will enable improved machine safety uptime and performance so we can continue to make and deliver our worldclass product to our valued customers.

What Will You Do
Working in a supportive environment you will contribute to the safety of our people the quality of our product and the reliability of our equipment. Youll achieve this by:
- isolating equipment and performing corrective maintenance on the machines
- inspecting equipment and identifying faults taking necessary actions to repair these
- responding to and resolving machine breakdowns with a sense of urgency
- planning and coordinating shutdowns for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- continually seeking opportunities to improve our maintenance strategies
More About You
We are on the lookout for dedicated team players and being a qualified Industrial Electrician you will bring:
- a Trade qualification in Electrotechnology
- an Australian Unrestricted Electrical Licence
- a reasonable understanding of mechanical aptitude and maintenance in previous roles
- proven experience with PLC fault finding and PLC programming utilising Siemens S7 TIA and SCADA systems or equivalent
- the ability to work both independently and as part of a manufacturing team
