We are seeking an experienced and proactive sales focused Product Solutions Specialist to join our team. This is a key role within our Resource Industries division focused on identifying developing and securing parts and machine upgrade opportunities across our Dragline and Electric Rope Shovel (ERS) customer base. This is a permanent opportunity open to applicants based in Mackay or Rockhampton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and convert opportunities for parts sales and machine upgrades across the Dragline and ERS portfolio.
- Evaluate customer requirements and pain points to develop tailored solutions and sales strategies.
- Build and maintain strong trustbased relationships with existing customers to drive value and longterm engagement through mine site visits and inperson customer interactions. Proactively generate new leads through networking referrals and outreach.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with customer needs and business objectives.
- Support the development and execution of strategic growth plans aligned to targets and Caterpillars ongoing investment in Dragline support.
- Promote a strong safety culture by actively participating in safety initiatives and adhering to company policies.
- Foster collaboration trust and teamwork across teams to ensure shared success and a unified customer experience.
About You:
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Commerce Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in a customerfacing role within the mining or heavy equipment sectors
- Proven ability to build and sustain longterm customer relationships
- Familiarity with mining operations particularly in Dragline and ERS equipment
- Intermediate understanding of Hastings Deering and Caterpillar support systems (or similar platforms)
- Strong product knowledge in parts and experience with prime product equipment
