Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Business Development Adviser to join our Employment Industrial Relations and Safety (EIRS) team. Joining our market leading BD team you will provide national support to our EIRS team and some of our key sectors to deliver their BD strategy and champion growth initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity to start your BD career with our team and develop your foundational BD knowledge and skills.

In this interesting and varied role you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with national EIRS business development and marketing projects including content creation events and proactive BD activities aligned with the annual plan

  • Preparing BD materials maintain standard pitch templates credentials and team CVs using systems like Foundation and SharePoint

  • Working closely with lawyers partners internal teams (e.g. communications events marketing) and external stakeholders to promote EIRS and deliver key initiatives

  • Leading major pitches support awards and directory submissions maintain BD infrastructure and ensure consistent and efficient documentation and processes.

  • Staying informed on industry trends support thought leadership and content strategies engage with relevant associations and adhere to WHS and firm policies.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 3 years experience in a BD role undertaking administration/advisory activities within a law firm or other professional services environment;

  • an undergraduate degree in marketing commerce business or related discipline;

  • proven ability to think ahead understand and manage priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines;

  • enthusiastic proactive and strong work ethic with a willingness to accept ownership of and follow up on tasks without prompting;

  • ability to confidently communicate and deal with partners managers staff and clients at all levels;

  • strong attention to detail;

  • demonstrated sound organisational planning and project administration skills;

  • strong Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel skills;

  • ability to collaborate effectively within a team;

  • excellent communication and drafting skills.
