Job Description:
This Digital Engineering Architect oversees and coordinates the segments digital ecosystem design architecture in alignment with business areas data strategy. This role will partner with the Centers of Excellence Directors and Chief Engineers to projectmanage the integration of Digital Engineering infrastructure initiatives.
Implementation of the Digital Engineering strategy will include Product Lifecycle Management PLM Model Based Design Application Lifecycle Management DevSecOps Model Based Systems Engineering and Digital Thread into cross functional systems (ERP MES Business Intelligence Role is responsible to develop mechanisms for monitoring engineering project progress (cost schedule and technical) and problem solving within deployment project teams. Responsible for developing champions and deployment of new concepts and technologies that realize L3Harris objective of a fully integrated Digital Thread.
Essential Functions:
- Advance L3Harris ability to transition products to the customer more effectively using new design methodology tools (modelbased design digital engineering)
- Assess current state tools and processes customer requirements and business need to develop the SAS digital ecosystem architecture identifying and prioritizing key capabilities to be integrated in the digital thread e.g. Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) interfaced into Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and business intelligence tools etc.
- Complete enterprise maturity assessments and gap analysis for digital engineering implementation
- Mature engineering capabilities to reduce defects rework improve productivity
- Work closely with IT on the data migration to new tools and updates to enterprise platform tools
- Create metrics to demonstrate improved abilities for rapid development and delivery of work products in the value stream
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited university in engineering computer science mathematics or physics
- Experience in heavy exposure and implementation in modern technology architecture and automation patterns of engineering capabilities
- Experience in development of methods in Systems engineering enterprise architecture and data strategies; through understanding of Engineering processes and tools beyond the application level.

- Experience in training development & delivery
- Experience in digital engineering integration
- Experience in process transformation and rationalization Experience with using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
- Experience with working in diverse teams (with sometimes conflicting needs) to drive to a common solution that meets the needs of the business
