TriState Physical Therapy (TSPT) a division of TriState Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a parttime Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our wellestablished and growing physical therapy Practice in our North Hills office located in McCandless.
Aquatic and Fall Prevention experience a plus!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Adhering to a parttime weekly work schedule of 16 hours in our North Hills office.
- The primary responsibility will be to assist the Physical Therapists (PT) in carrying out an Aquatic and Fall Prevention Program.
- Implementing treatment goals plans and programs as established by the PT.
- Assisting the PT in carrying out the following therapeutic interventions designed to meet the patients long term goals: Posture training strengthening exercise endurance/cardiac training balance exercises coordination exercises joint mobility and muscle lengthening pain relief functional skills training and community reentry training.
- Instructing patients in the use of prescribed equipment if necessary.
- Preparing daily clinical notes and routine progress reports.
- Instructing patients and family members regarding inhome exercise programs and activities of daily living.
- Maintaining confidentiality of all medical record facility and rehabrelated information.
- Maintaining accurate billing information in accordance with facility procedures daily.
- Complying with the documentation requirements of the rehab department and facility.
- Assisting with staff/family member training and education when appropriate by formal and informal inservices as well as consultations.
- Reviewing and adhering to the policies and procedures outlined by the facility and TriState Physical Therapy.
Qualifications:
- Physical Therapist Assistant education obtained in a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)accredited twoyear Associate Degree program.
- Current Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Licensure/Certification.
- Competency in therapy treatment principles techniques materials and equipment utilization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Proficient in navigating through electronic medical records.
