Job Description

The Sr. Account Manager for Livestock Corporate Accounts will maximize the full revenue potential of our companys Animal Health livestock products within large valueadd accounts. The Sr. Account Manager will be responsible for developing coordinating and maintaining the corporate level strategies for these companies. The Sr. Account Manager will develop and manage effective business relationships at the corporate level championing the delivery of products and programs tailored for large corporate entities. Specific responsibilities include the development of mutually beneficial corporate strategies that span across species and conditions and the coordination of delivery of custom solutions for these highly complex accounts.

Essential Accountabilities:

Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Development and execution of corporate strategic planning across all livestock species working at the highest level of the customer corporate structure.

  • Establishment of influence and trust relationships with Corporate Account executives

  • Coordination of annual business planning conferences with sales technical services global and other relevant internal functions.

  • Monitoring of major account response to and satisfaction with our companys Animal Health products and offers collaborating with R&D Manufacturing Sales and Marketing teams to inform future product development packaging and pricing efforts.

  • Close collaboration with Sales Directors Brand Managers Global Marketing and value chain and Consumer affairs groups to assist with major account programs and initiatives and build joint strategy and align goals between multiple functions. Where relevant interface with the global teams that work with these large multispecies food producers outside the US to collaborate on strategy implementation and execution.

Scope and Context:

Responsibility for developing the account strategy for our largest and most complex valueadd accounts in the US livestock space.

Minimum Qualifications:

Background & Education:

  • Bachelors Degree required

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Minimum of 10 years of Animal Health industry experience including B to B sales with at least 5 years of major account management or sales management experience required.

  • Effective negotiation skills. Prior experience successfully executing multimilliondollar agreements

  • Highly professional presence comfortable with and credible in managing business critical discussions with top level executives of our company Animal Health and its strategic customers and business partners.

  • Transformational leadership willingness to challenge the status quo innovate and implement positive change.

  • Highly innovative risk taker willing to experiment with measure and improve sales techniques and processes.

  • Strong financial acumen and budget planning skills.
