Hirschbach is seeking Tractor Mechanics at our Indianapolis IN shop! At Hirschbach you will complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on one of the newest and fully featured fleets. Come join our talented team of Mechanics!

Pay & Benefits
- $22/hr $41.50/hr based on experience
- $1500 SIGNON BONUS!
- 4day work week! (4x10)
- 3 weeks of PTO upon hire!!
- Paid weekly!
- $1200/annual tool allowance
- $200/annual boot allowance
- $1200/annual CDL A or B Stipend
- $6240/annual ($3/hr) shift premium for 2nd shift positions

- 401(k) with match
- Identify diagnose and resolve tractor related issues on Hirschbachs fleet ofFreightliner (predominantly) Kenworth and Internationals.
- Complete jobs such as: PMs electrical diagnosis air brakes suspension and steering after treatment repairs charging system repairs AC repairs etc.
- Properly categorize repairs according to company standards: Preventative Maintenance Components failures Abuse Accident and Operations.
- Accurately and efficiently record parts and supplies used in performing repairs which may include scanning bar codes of parts and recording consumable supplies.
- Accurately and efficiently record repair stories to properly document complaints causes and corrections of component failures and enable the company to recover warrantable expenses.

- Adhere to safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service communicating clearly and professionally with drivers and fleet managers.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry technology and repair techniques through ongoing education and training.
- Assist other Technicians as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 12 years in fleet maintenance or a Technical School Degree preferred.
- Certifications such as 609 Diamler Cummins and Navistar preferred.
- Experience with DTNA Cummins Insite Bendix etc.
- Previous experience with repair maintenance and diagnosis of Class 8 equipment which is not limited to general driver repair requests warranty repair onboard vehicle electronics etc.
- CDL A or B (preferred not required)
- Valid Drivers License
