The Assistant Director for Facilities assists in management of all home athletic events and other events held at the athletic facilities and manages the event operations and scheduling of assigned sports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred
Experience and Training
- Minimum 1 year experience in collegiate athletics or similar experience
- Turf management experience preferred
Knowledge Skills Ability:
- Proficient in use of MS Office products and the internet
- Problem solving organization and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the scheduling and supervision of daily operations of all athletic facilities which includes the Millis Center Williard Stadium Vert Stadium Steele Center and Qubein Center
- Assists in coordinating maintenance of all athletic venues
- Assists with special facility projects
- For assigned sports schedule and supervise all event staff for home athletic contests; assist with other events held at the athletic venues
- Plan and manage logistics for all home athletic contests for assigned sports to include security parking hosting officials facility supervision and all student workers for event management
- Manage assigned visiting team arrivals
- Update visiting team fan and officials guides and coordinate distribution to required parties
- Supervise hires and trains 1525 student workers for event management
- Manages expenses within budget for assigned sports
- Maintains positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with students students parents faculty coworkers and managers
- Other duties as assigned
