Do you enjoy working with people leadership and technology Are you excited about product development Were now looking for an Engineering Director that will drive the development of innovative products and lead an organization located in Lund and Linkping.
Who is your future team
The department Extended Video Products System Products has the overall responsibility to develop several exciting products from idea to volume production and launch. Examples of products we develop are bodyworn cameras video recorders video decoders and audio/visual alerters. As Engineering Director youll collaborate closely with line managers product managers project managers and team members to ensure we have the right talent and expertise to deliver exceptional products. The department has around 90 employees with the majority based in Lund but with a growing number also in Linkping.
The current Engineering Director will move to another role internally within Axis and were now seeking a new Engineering Director.
What you will do as an Engineering Director
In our projects employees from many different disciplines collaborate: mechanics electronics software industrial design production technology industrialization and more. Our department has a mix of junior and senior employees who work together and learn from each other in an open supportive climate.
Your responsibilities will include
- Daily department management supporting managers and project managers
- Collaborative roadmap creation with product management and other stakeholders
- Driving strategies and goals for the product areas
- Foster innovation in products and processes
- Identify and drive technology studies that benefit later product generations
- Recruitment and talent development
- Budgeting and resource allocation
The position is in Lund but you will also with some regularity do shorter visits to the Linkping organization.
