The Medical Educationist will play a central role in the planning development implementation and evaluation of the medical curriculum. The position is responsible for promoting educational excellence supporting faculty development and ensuring the curriculum aligns with accreditation standards and modern educational best practices.
Design and update undergraduate and/or postgraduate medical curricula in alignment with national and international standards (e.g. WFME NCAAA).
Develop and integrate competencybased medical education (CBME) frameworks.
Collaborate with faculty and departments to align learning objectives teaching strategies and assessment methods.
Organize and conduct faculty development workshops and training programs on educational methodologies assessment techniques feedback and evaluation.
Provide individual and group consultations to faculty to improve teaching effectiveness.
Develop tools for formative and summative assessments including OSCEs MCQs workplacebased assessments etc.
Ensure standard setting and quality assurance of examinations.
Analyze assessment data and support continuous improvement.
Contribute to the development of quality assurance policies related to teaching and learning.
Assist in preparing documentation for accreditation bodies.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the educational program using datadriven approaches.
Promote and participate in medical education research.
Encourage the adoption of innovative teaching technologies and active learning strategies such as problembased learning (PBL) teambased learning (TBL) and simulation.
Develop orientation programs academic advising systems and feedback mechanisms for students.
Address student concerns related to learning methods assessments and academic progress.
A Master s or PhD in Medical Education or a related field.
A primary medical degree (e.g. MBBS) is strongly preferred.
At least 3 5 years of experience in medical education roles.
Familiarity with accreditation standards (e.g. LCME WFME NCAAA).
Experience in faculty development and curriculum design.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and contemporary educational practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Analytical and problemsolving skills.
Proficiency in using educational technologies and learning management systems (LMS).
Experience with simulationbased education.
Publications in peerreviewed medical education journals.
Certification in health professions education (e.g. AMEE ESME).
