We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Aviation Operations Officer to manage and coordinate daytoday airside and landside activities ensuring the safe efficient and smooth operation of all aviation services. This role involves monitoring flight schedules coordinating with stakeholders ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and maintaining operational readiness.
Coordinate flight operations and ensure proper communication with airlines air traffic control (ATC) and ground handling teams.
Monitor and manage daily airport operations including aircraft movements parking stands fueling catering and baggage handling.
Ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations and airport standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Respond promptly to operational incidents delays or emergencies and implement contingency plans when required.
Conduct inspections of runways taxiways and aprons to ensure serviceability and safety.
Liaise with airline representatives airport authorities and service providers to ensure efficient turnarounds and operational excellence.
Maintain logs and reports on aircraft movements incidents and shift activities.
Support the planning and execution of ramp operations and gate allocations.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support operational training for new team members.
Bachelors degree in Aviation Management Aeronautical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
25 years of experience in airport or airline operations.
Strong knowledge of ICAO IATA GACA (or local authority) regulations and airport safety protocols.
Excellent communication coordination and crisis management skills.
Ability to work in rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
Proficient in airport operation systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
Airport Operations Certificate (ACI IATA or equivalent).
Safety Management Systems (SMS) training.
Airside Driver Permit (ADP) if applicable.
