For our client we are currently looking for an experiencedOperational Excellence Coordinator Steel Plant.The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of steel production processes strong analytical and leadership skills and experience in applying PMO methodologies to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Identify prioritize and implement process improvement projects across the steel plant focusing on productivity energy efficiency yield and cost reduction.
- Benchmark with other mills to identify performance gaps and best practices.
- Lead root cause analyses (RCA) to solve chronic issues in processes and equipment.
- Drive standardization of best practices in collaboration with operations maintenance quality and sales departments.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) monitor benefit realization and ensure progress is visible and measurable.
- Support digitalization and automation projects to improve data visibility and process control.
- Promote a culture of safety and operational discipline through structured problemsolving and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Contribute to the development and delivery of operator training and skills standardization programs.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align continuous improvement goals with business strategy.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in steel production or a heavy manufacturing environment with a focus on BOF EAF or casting processes.
- Masters degree in Metallurgy Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Refractory Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Strong analytical skills paired with a solid technological foundation.
- Handson experience with project management methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
- Familiarity with PMO frameworks (G0G5) is a strong advantage.
- Indepth knowledge of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
- Fluent in both Polish and English (mandatory).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels from the shop floor to top management.
