Job Summary:
Our client is in search of a forwardthinking Retail Manager with a strategic approach to optimizing retail operations in the oil and gas sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daytoday operations of retail business activities ensuring smooth operations and compliance with health safety and environmental standards.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth profitability and customer satisfaction at retail locations.
- Utilize AIdriven analytics to analyze customer browsing habits and purchase history crafting tailored shopping experiences that drive engagement and sales.
- Implement AIpowered inventory management systems to monitor stock levels predict demand fluctuations and automate restocking processes ensuring optimal inventory without overstocking.
- Monitor and enforce quality control and standard operating procedures to ensure a consistent customer experience across all retail outlets.
- Leverage AI to gain realtime visibility into supply chain operations predict potential disruptions and optimize logistics leading to cost reductions and improved efficiency.
- Integrate AIpowered visual search tools that allow customers to search for products using images enhancing the shopping experience and increasing conversion rates.
- Deploy AI chatbots and virtual assistants to handle customer inquiries provide product recommendations and resolve issues promptly improving customer satisfaction and reducing operational costs.
- Implement AI systems to monitor transactions and identify unusual patterns enhancing security and protecting both the business and customers from fraudulent activities.
- Work closely with the marketing and promotions teams to create and execute promotions discounts and loyalty programs to boost customer engagement and retention.
- Analyze retail performance metrics including sales data customer feedback and market trends to develop action plans that enhance store performance.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements including fuel pricing regulations taxation policies and environmental standards.
- Manage budgets for each retail location controlling operational costs monitoring financial performance and optimizing resources.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers and thirdparty service providers to ensure quality product sourcing and timely delivery.
- Represent the company in local retail forums industry associations and public relations activities.
Key Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Retail Management Supply Chain or related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g. Retail Management PMP) is a plus.
- 58 years of experience in retail management with at least 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas retail sector (e.g. retail fuel stations convenience stores car washes and related services).
- Leveraging AI to process customer feedback identify areas for improvement.
- Proven experience in managing multisite retail operations including overseeing daytoday store functions staff management and customer service.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas retailing including fuel retail operations pricing structures and logistics related to fuel distribution.
- Experience in staff development and training with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Solid knowledge of inventory management cost control and retail financial management.
- Strong ability to analyze sales data identify market trends and implement corrective actions to drive operational improvements.
- Proven track record in negotiation and supplier management.
- Knowledge of local regulatory compliance (fuel pricing environmental guidelines etc.) in the retail space.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite retail management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced customerfocused environment with multiple priorities.
