The Role

GES is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Music Teacher to deliver the IGCSE and A Level curriculum from September 2025. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and supportive department dedicated to fostering a love for music and performance across the secondary school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and wellstructured lessons in line with the British curriculum

  • Prepare students for IGCSE and A Level Music examinations

  • Promote student participation in a wide range of musical performances and activities

  • Contribute to schoolwide events concerts and assemblies

  • Maintain a stimulating and wellmanaged classroom environment

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the departments cocurricular offering

  • Provide regular assessment and feedback to support student progress

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Music Education or a related field (Masters preferred)

  • UKrecognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or QTS)

  • Minimum of 35 years experience teaching in a British curriculum school

  • Native English speaker with British nationality (visa requirement)

  • Strong knowledge of IGCSE and A Level Music syllabi

  • A passion for performance creativity and studentcentred learning
