Job Description
Job Summary: Nalanda Vidyaniketan is seeking a creative and skilled Western Dance Teacher to join our extracurricular activities (ECA) program. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various Western dance styles and have a passion for inspiring students of all ages and abilities. As a Western Dance Teacher you will be responsible for planning and leading dance classes choreographing routines for school events and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Dance Curriculum: Develop a comprehensive Western dance curriculum suitable for a range of age groups and skill levels.
- Teach Dance Classes: Lead engaging dance classes that cover different Western dance styles including hip hop jazz contemporary and street dance.
- Choreograph Performances: Create and direct dance routines for school events competitions and other performances.
- Foster Creativity and Teamwork: Encourage students to express creativity build confidence and work collaboratively with their peers.
- Provide Individual Feedback: Offer personalized guidance to students to help them improve their dance skills and technique.
- Collaborate with School Staff: Work with other teachers and staff to integrate dance into school activities and programs.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the dance studio is clean organized and complies with safety regulations.
- Stay Current with Trends: Keep up to date with the latest trends in Western dance to continuously enhance the dance program.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: A degree in Dance Performing Arts or a related field is preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Western Dance Teacher or Dance Instructor.
- Skills: Proficiency in multiple Western dance styles with the ability to adapt teaching methods to different skill levels.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Creativity: Experience in choreographing and directing dance performances.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Certifications in dance instruction or teaching methods.
- Experience in Competitive Dance: Experience coaching or participating in competitive dance.
- Child Development Knowledge: Understanding of child development and ageappropriate teaching methods.

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Teaching certification. Proven experience as a Primary Social science Teacher (1 - 3) years Excellent Communication Skills. Strong passion for education and fostering a love for Social Science in young learners Should have good knowledge of subject with good experience. Students handling skills in the classroom.
