Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a warm enthusiastic and responsible Assistant Teacher to support the teaching and learning process in our Nursery/Prep classrooms. The ideal candidate will work closely with the main teacher to ensure a safe nurturing and engaging learning environment that fosters the holistic development of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering daily lessons activities and classroom routines.
- Support childrens individual and group learning through interactive play and structured tasks.
- Help maintain a clean safe and organized classroom environment.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Prepare teaching aids materials and displays as directed by the class teacher.
- Provide individual attention to students who need extra support.
- Help manage student behavior and promote positive discipline practices.
- Participate in school events celebrations and parentteacher meetings as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent. ECCEd or a diploma in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Prior experience working with young children in a school or daycare setting is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient caring and passionate about working with children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
