Elpedison with its two privatelyowned power plants in Thisvi (Voiotia) and Thessaloniki with a total installed capacity of 820 MW uses natural gas as fuel and ensures a clean and continuous electricity flow based on a highly environmentallyfriendly power generation process.
The Electrical Control and Instrument (EC&I) Engineering Officer will be responsible for the guidance coordination and implementation of EC & I new projects or electrical maintenance activities of the Plants.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to plant performances (efficiency capacity reliability flexibility etc.) and propose actions aiming at the continuous improvement of plant efficiency and reliability.
- Provide support for the definition of the annual maintenance plan and the annual maintenance budget and cost optimization for the generating unit.
- Provide technical specification for the new projects of the Company
- Ensure the development of specific maintenance and inspection methodologies and supervise the implementation.
- Provide support for investigating and identifying solutions to specific technical issues of the plant (troubleshooting and predictive preventive or corrective maintenance).
- Act as work supervisor and prime source of maintenance and engineering expertise particularly in relation to the application of the safety rules.
- Ensure that your actions are always in adherence to company HSE standards and ISO requirements and that he/she is always up to date with all company HSE & ISO requirements.
- Develop and implement strategic projects targeting to Power Plants performance and reliability improvements.
- Provide support to the plants for the development of technical specifications for improvements modifications new investments or applications with higher technical complexity.
- Perform resource planning in order to carry out efficiently the projects he has been assigned.
- Provide support to the plants for investigating and identifying solutions to specific maintenance (predictive preventive or corrective) technical issues.
- Provide support to the Plants during Outages and undertakes specific maintenance activities to his responsibility during Major Inspections.
- Participate in the Plant and Maintenance related Meetings and provide assistance in all Audits.
- Supervise and ensure compliance of all contractors in the plant with companys policies and procedures.
- Collect and review operational KPIs and report them to the relevant stakeholders. Identifies improvement actions.
- Undertake tasks for the new asset of the company. Review technical proposals and provides technical assessment of the proposals.
- Manage and provide technical specification of contracts QAQC and detailed specification of spares.
- Communicate on a regular basis with the Operations Section Manager the Mechanical Maintenance Officer the duty shift teams and the maintenance section regarding plant status and potential risks.
- Contribute to the plant budget monitoring and updates
- Be flexible to travel to any facility of the Company.
Requirements
- A MEng in Electrical Engineering
- At least 3 years relevant working experience to a similar position
- Experience in implementation training and maintenance of strict Quality and HSE protocols (esp. IS09001 ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 etc.)
- Very good skills in Plant instrumentation and actuators (pneumatic motorized electrohydraulic)
- Very good knowledge of industrial automation (PLC DCS Safety control systems)
- Advanced level of English
