Job Description

About The Role

The Head of Finance and Administration will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and administrative functions of the organization. This includes financial planning budgeting accounting reporting procurement and compliance. The role also ensures the effective management of administrative services including office operations human resources support and organizational governance. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership and financial management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management

  • Lead the development and execution of financial strategies that support the organizations goals.

  • Prepare monitor and control annual budgets forecasts and longterm financial plans.

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

  • Oversee accounts payable receivable payroll and general ledger activities.

  • Monitor cash flow investments and asset management to ensure financial sustainability.

Administration & Operations

  • Oversee administrative operations including office management procurement and logistics.

  • Ensure the efficient and secure management of company assets and records.

  • Develop and enforce administrative policies procedures and systems to support operational excellence.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements including tax filings and audits.

  • Liaise with external auditors regulators legal advisors and other stakeholders.

  • Maintain uptodate financial records and reports for board meetings and strategic planning.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the finance and administration team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.

  • Support the HR function in payroll processing benefits administration and compliance with labor laws.

  • Foster a culture of accountability transparency and integrity across the organization.



Requirements



  • A Chartered Accountant or Master s level degree with the equivalent of 12 years (15 years preferred) experience in financial management with a minimum of 5 years direct work experience in an international organization or NGO with a seniorlevel responsibility for operations and finance managing awards of similar size.

  • Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel spreadsheets word processing and electronic mail along with data entry experience) and proficiency in Accounting software.

  • Strong knowledge of financial management budgeting and reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated strong management coordination teamwork and planning skills with proven ability to function effectively with donors and multiple hostcountry counterparts (public and private sector).

  • Proven expertise in finance accounting and auditing including automated financial systems.

  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle
