Mechanical Fitter
Salary:
Location: Eastfield Glasgow G72 area
Hours: 37 per week; Monday to Thursday 8am 4:30pm & Friday 8am 1pm
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Full Time Permanent
Syntech Recruitment are proud to partner with a high precision component manufacturer who produce complex parts for a variety of regulated industries. We are searching for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team based near Eastfield Glasgow G72 area.

Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities:
- Assemble products in compliance with customer specifications following established quality control standards to ensure consistent and accurate output.
- Interpret technical documentation such as work instructions assembly drawings and bills of materials to carry out precise assembly tasks in line with best engineering practices.
- Raise quality concerns and report kit shortages directly to the Mechanical Team Lead to maintain workflow and product integrity.
- Verify incoming materials against drawing and specification requirements before initiating assembly operations.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times adhering strictly to company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives supporting efficiency quality and workplace development.
Mechanical Fitter Requirements:
- Experience in a similar handson role within a mechanical engineering environment or a strong interest in developing new skills in precision assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately to ensure highquality component assembly.
- Practical experience in manual operations such as drilling reaming and tapping (preferred).
- Familiarity with deburring techniques and surface finishing processes (desirable).
- Proven background in a regulated industry such as aerospace where adherence to strict standards and traceability is essential.
