Shift: 6:00 AM 6:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our clients team in Sand Springs. The Fitter will be responsible for precision fitting of pressure vessels and heat exchangers ensuring work is completed to code and company standards. As a Fitter you must bring extensive knowledge of welding processes blueprint reading and strong problem-solving skills in a fabrication environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform fitting of metal components to meet standards and codes in pressure vessel and heat exchanger assembly
- Apply knowledge of thermal cutting and welding processes
- Accurately read and interpret AutoCAD prints for specifications and dimensions
- Proficiently operate oxy/fuel cutting torches and Plas-Arc machines
- Perform tack welding per code and within weld procedure requirements
- Maintain less than a 5% fit-up rejection rate
- Demonstrate leadership and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team-oriented environment
- Maintain a safe and organized work area in line with company standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience fitting pressure vessels and heat exchangers
- Strong blueprint reading skills and ability to follow specifications
- Above average math skills and understanding of geometry
- Proven ability to be self-motivated dependable and punctual
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed to complete projects
- Pride in craftsmanship and maintaining quality work within deadlines
