Birmingham City University is excited to offer an opportunity to join our Accommodation team. You will play a key role in supporting the team and act as a point of contact for customer relationship issues.
Accommodation Services is committed to assisting students in their transition from home to university life. This role will suit someone with administrative and customer service experience and who is looking to make a positive difference to a students experience at Birmingham City University.
In this role you will support a wide range of administrative and office activities as well engage with students contractors and visitors. The role is site based (nonagile) standard core hours.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain efficient administrative systems both manual and electronic to support team activities including updating the Accommodation software
Assist with front facing telephone and email enquiries responding in a professional and timely manner
Raise accommodation and conference fee invoices using the universitys ERP system manage the collection of payments including arrears chasing and holding debt clinics
Raise requisitions for purchase orders and process invoices from suppliers using the ERP system
Work outside of core hours to support University and operational requirements throughout the year
Essential Requirements
We are looking for someone who is selfmotivated with the ability to work in an organised and efficient manner have attention to detail excellent communication skills good interpersonal skills and are flexible and cooperative.

The appointed candidate will normally be employed through our subsidiary company BCU Support Services Limited a wholly owned subsidiary of Birmingham City University. Appointees with prior LGPS membership who wish to enter the LGPS scheme will be able to do so and will be employed by Birmingham City University directly.
