The Team
The AuthorisationsDivision ensure firms and individuals who apply to us to be authorised orapprovedunderstand how wetest that they will comply with our use authorisation to help deliver our public offer and as a tool to protect consumers from the harm that can be caused by bad conduct in the financial services industry. An opportunity has risen for a Personal Assistant to support the Head of Department for Controllers & Cancellations Department in Authorisations. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved and help this busy department continue to thrive. Controllers & Cancellations department deals with applications for Change in Control and Cancellations from firms across all financials services sectors.
What will you be doing
Provide professional assistance to the Head of Department handling information and progressing actions as needed which includes liaising with senior management external stakeholders and their offices
Oversee inbox management by monitoring emails preparing agendas for the management meetings and following up actions where necessary
Investigate queries manage departmental communications and support management with ad hoc tasks
Oversee agendas meeting papers and pending actions for stakeholders in attendance while coordinating briefings effectively

Minimum
Prior experience as a Personal Assistant with exceptional organisational skills
Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders
Experience using Microsoft Outlook OneNote Excel Word and PowerPoint
Essential
Ability to maintain security trust and confidentiality of information is of paramount importance in this role
Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively within tight deadlines
Skilled in engaging with and influencing internal and external stakeholders
Strong team player with the ability to drive work forward independently
Excellent communication skills which can be adapted to meet the needs of your audience
Flexibility to adapt and react to changing circumstances reprioritising as necessary; willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities
