Are you ready to embark on a thrilling journey in the heart of maritime innovation Norsepower a pioneer in sustainable shipping solutions is bringing sails back to shipping and saving the planet at the same time. We are now seeking a dynamic and talented Assistant Financial Controller to join our team.

Norsepower Rotor Sail harnesses the wind to maximize fuel efficiency and reduce emissions of ships. It is the first commercially available mechanical sail for large vessels. It has a proven track record of successful operation since 2014. Norsepowers project services cover all phases from sales to project delivery and operational support. Each project is planned according to the clients needs and preferences.

In this role you will be part of a motivated threeperson Finance team and report to the Group Controller. As an Assistant Financial Controller you will support the team in ensuring smooth and reliable daytoday financial operations. Depending on your skills and interests you will also have the opportunity to develop our processes and take on more responsibility over time. Your versatile responsibilities will include managing the AP/AR process preparing internal and external financial reports and assisting with budgeting. You will also support monthend and yearend closing procedures. In addition you will serve as the main user of the travel expense system and handle some administrative tasks such as office management. Your main tools are Excel eFina Visma M2 and TravelPerk.

To succeed in this role we expect you to have a relevant educational background and some prior work experience. We hope that you enjoy doing routine work but also have a developing mindset. Excellent Excel skills and a detailoriented approach to work are essential. A genuine eagerness to learn develop professionally and thrive in a fastgrowing company are key attributes for success. Our office is located in Ruoholahti and we work in a flexible hybrid model. Ideally we hope you would be interested in coming to the office 23 times per week to support a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Relevant study background and preferably 1 2 years of working experience in similar roles
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full working proficiency in English

Bonus skills

  • Knowledge of some accounting software
  • Experience from the AP/AR process
