Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Masters Degree in Bioinformatics Computational Biology or a related field.
- Fluency in Spanish English (business level)
Desired:
- Experience in handling drugcondition databases (DrugBank ChEMBL TTD ).
- Experience in programming in MATLAB.
- Experience in network analysis of biological systems.
- Experience in insilico simulations of drug efficacy analysis (PBPK modeling ).
- Previous experience in a research setting funded by the EUfunded H2020 program.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Expertise in dataprocessing programming languages such as R and Python.
- Experience in pipelines and methods of analysis of omics data (microarrays RNASeq proteomics scRNASeq metabolomics miRNA ).
- Experience in statistical analysis applied to medical settings.
- Experience in Machine Learningbased data analysis methods.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Provide bioinformatics support for the H2020 DISCOvERIE project with the following tasks:
- Molecular data integration (transcriptomics proteomics and genomics). Dissect genedisease relations based on an existing pathological protein network model (MATLAB based).
- Clinical data curation machine learning approaches to identify biomarkers. Interpretation of results in the context of existing knowledge.
- Reporting of results following EU schemes preparation of deliverables and dissemination materials.
- Prepare a scientific publication.
Labour conditions:
- Fulltime position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: immediately.
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale).
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities.
