As a Tax Operations Analyst within our Tax Operations team you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing processes related to the withholding and reporting of taxes for our private banking clients across EMEA jurisdictions with a particular focus on Italian taxation. You will ensure compliance with tax regulations and support tax reporting and filing processes. You are an ideal candidate if you have a basic understanding of Italian and European withholding and reporting principles along with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced technologydriven environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daytoday tax operations related to withholding taxes for private banking clients ensuring compliance with Italian tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review reports and filings for withholding taxes focusing on Italianspecific requirements ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance for client accounts.
- Monitor changes in Italian tax legislation and assess their impact on the banks operations and client portfolios.
- Provide support on withholding and reporting tax matters to internal stakeholders including client relationship managers and legal teams.
- Leverage technology and data analytics tools to enhance tax reporting and compliance processes for client accounts.
- Participate in the development and implementation of technologydriven solutions to streamline tax operations.
- Support the Tax Operations Manager in various projects and initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Taxation or a related field.
- First experience in tax operations.
- Basic knowledge of Italian taxation including withholding regimes (gestito amministrato ordinario) indirect taxation principles (Imposta di bollo) and tax reporting.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and independently with crossfunctional teams managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in tax software data analytics tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Experience within a private bank or financial institution.
- Masters degree or professional tax qualification.
- Proficiency in Italian French German or Spanish.
- Experience with technologydriven solutions and product management in tax operations.
- Knowledge of European tax regulations (other EMEA jurisdictions CRS/FATCA preferred).
