We are looking for a passionate People Business Partner to oversee all Human Resource operations in both Germany Switzerland and Austria (currently around 60 FTE and growing fast). As the BP for those countries you will play a pivotal role in building and fostering strong relationships with the local leadership team. You will be based in our Cologne office. You will act as a trusted advisor partnering with leaders to set solid foundations for local people strategies that align with our sustainable mission and unique culture. You will drive engagement initiatives that focus on purpose and impact enhance collaboration and establish a framework for sustainable growth. This role requires a handson approach the ability to navigate change and a proactive mindset to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within our value driven people centric HR practices.
You will join Fastneds wonderful People team as the local point of contact for our German Swiss and Austrian business. You will work closely with the wider People team (mostly based in the Netherlands) that includes People Business Partnering Payroll People Operations and Talent Acquisition (two TA Specialists are based in Cologne as well). Our BP team currently consists of one Business Partner Lead and two other People Business Partners.
In concrete terms you will be:
Teaming up with local leaders to continuously strengthen our people foundation while anticipating smooth running operations throughout our headcount growth ahead.
Using your HR superpowers (think: strategies tools and a dash of labor law knowhow) to navigate any workplace hiccups solving them with datadriven solutions and making sure we all come out stronger and more aligned.
Being our local people expert for our People Operations team when it comes to local labor law questions or local HR practices for both Germany Switzerland and Austria.
Being the goto person for employees and leaders alikelistening coaching influencing and building the kind of trust that helps us work together seamlessly while keeping our mission to accelerate the transition to electric mobility front and center.
Keeping tabs on performance levels workforce needs and succession plans making sure we are ready for the future (and whatever surprises scaling up throws our way).
Partnering with our local Talent Acquisition team to ensure seamless alignment between hiring needs and workforce planning.
Spotting opportunities to level up skills across the local teams rolling out training that really sticks and measuring its impact.
Next to supporting the local Fastned teams you will also be fully embedded in Fastneds wider People team where you can work on people related projects that span across Fastneds wider business. These projects can range from L&D Compensation & Benefits to HR data and tooling topics.
You should have solid experience with HR practices and employee management that enables you to act as a consultant on HR topics and organisational changes leveling with stakeholders across the entire organisation no matter their seniority level nor background.
Additionally you tick the following boxes:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a People Business Partner gained in a highpaced (preferably start up) and matrix business environment;
Bsc degree in Human Resources or related field;
Fluency in German and English;
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
Thorough knowledge of German labor legislation Swiss and/or Austrian labor law knowledge is a plus;
Available at least 32 hours per week;
Passion for sustainability and the transition to electric mobility.
Willingness to travel to other offices (DACH and NL) expected once a month on average.
