Working Student (m/f/d) in Software Development for Propellant Management

ArianeGroup GmbH in Bremen is looking for a (Working) Student Software Developer (m/f/d) for the Propellant Management Team in the department of Upper Stage Cryogenic and Storable Propulsion System Engineering (JTLF2).

- Working student contract with a weekly working time of up to 18h/week
Main tasks and activities:
- Support in the development of internal simulation software:
- Working with multiprocess environment with multiple packages and libraries
- Improve application architecture and extensibility to new domains
- Improvement of data acquisition and representation of simulation results
- Support modernization of legacy systems including the creation of Python packages
- Support development of CI/CD pipelines for new and existing software
Required qualifications:
Minimum requirements:
- Enrolled student in the field of software engineering or a comparable engineering degree in a bachelors or masters degree program.
- Proven practical programming experience in C/C and Python (e.g. through projects internships or courses)
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Fluent English communication skills
Desirable:
- Basic knowledge of parallel environments e.g. multiprocess environments threading
- Basic knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systems
- Basic knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink
- Ability to write clean code
The following additional qualifications would be advantageous:
- GitHub or other public repositories with demonstrated software projects
- Experience in developing simulation applications
- Experience with DevOps CI/CD and GitLab Bitbucket
