We are seeking a dedicated Planning Assessment Officer to join our team. In this impactful role you will play a key part in the efficient and effective assessment of development applications and other development control functions within the Cessnock LGA. Every day brings new challenges as you assess a wide range of proposals from urban housing development and subdivisions to temporary events and commercial and industrial developments.
To succeed you will need a degree in Town Planning (or a related qualification) and an understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous. Your ability to manage planning issues and provide advice will be key to your success.
