Job Description

Join us in shaping the future of Amazons payment solutions! As a Finance Manager on our International Emerging Stores Payments team youll be at the forefront of innovation driving financial strategies and insights for our Australia Payment business. Your role will be pivotal in supporting various payment products and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to achieve our goals.

A Day in the Life

In this role youll dive into the dynamic world of payments working on initiatives like Cobranded Credit Card Installments Buy Now Pay Later and more. Your day will be filled with strategic financial planning analyzing performance metrics and providing valuable insights to senior leadership. Youll also engage in ad hoc analysis to address evolving business needs all while fostering strong relationships with our business teams.

Our team operates out of our fabulous CBD office (conveniently located near many transportation options)

Key job responsibilities
Lead financial planning and analysis for Amazons Australia Payment business including long and shortterm strategies.
Oversee monthly financial reporting and ensure accurate controllership.
Develop and report on weekly financial and operational performance metrics.
Provide analytical support and insights to senior leadership.
Conduct ad hoc analysis to address emerging business needs and challenges.


5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
5 years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
6 years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
6 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
6 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience
6 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
6 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process reengineering quality assurance) experience

6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
