About Our Client

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead enterprise software licensing procurement and support services. This role involves establishing internal processes procedures and tools for endtoend software procurement and asset management. You will work closely with a small team to develop capability in software procurement and asset management including creating a software asset management plan Standard Operating Procedures training materials and knowledge transfer activities.

Key duties and responsibilities

Endtoend procurement of software licenses in accordance with internal policy and process including but not limited to;

  • Defining software requirements in consultation with End Users and technical teams
  • Evaluating responses including supplier terms and conditions and/or EULA
  • EULA review
  • Compliance review with license allocation (trueup)
  • Proactive product lifecycle management including renewal/retirements
  • License entitlement and consumption reporting

The Successful Candidate:

  • Extensive experience in legislation compliance procurement practices and internal policies throughout the procurement process.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with advanced Excel proficiency for software data management and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills experienced in sensitive negotiations and stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledgeable in software procurement and management including EULA review updates forecasting and licensing.
  • Certificate IV or equivalent in Government Procurement is desirable.

Work Type: 13 Month Contract extensions possible till 2027

Location: Canberra ACT (Barton)

Security Requirements: Negative Vetting 1 Clearance.
