Band 6 starting at $94850.87 super RDO (RDO applicable for full time 38 hours per week only)

The Infrastructure Traffic and Civil Engineering Branch at Yarra City Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager of Civil Works.
We are looking for a resultsdriven team member to join our small but tightknit Development and Civil Engineering team.
About the Role:
The Development and Civil Engineering team oversees and inspects reinstatement works on Councils roads and footpaths. In this role you will supervise and provide technical support and guidance to thirdparty contractors completing reinstatement works on Council assets. You will ensure that all civil works within the Councils road reserve adhere to council requirements and industry best practices. Additionally you will be responsible for maintaining public safety and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation permits and consents.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise civil rectification works for development and subdivision sites ensuring compliance with standards permit conditions and traffic management plans.
  • Define and prepare detailed scopes of reinstatement works on Councils roads footpaths and land ensuring clarity and alignment with Councils specifications.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine the extent of reinstatement required and identify any potential issues.
  • Manage and coordinate contractors developers and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the scope and requirements of reinstatement works.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to monitor and verify that reinstatement works meet the defined scope and Council standards.
  • Carry out proactive and reactive inspections in line with the requirements of the Councils Road Management Plan Local Law Permits and other relevant legislation
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a resultsdriven individual who excels in both collaborative team settings and independent work environments.
The ideal candidate will demonstrateexceptional time management skills effectively planning and organising a high workload to meet established in project delivery or a similar role within the infrastructure or construction sectors is highly desirable.
