Montefiore is seeking to appoint a Speech Pathologist to join our dedicated and extensive onsite team of Allied Health professionals.
The role:
In this busy and rewarding role you will be responsible for assessing treating and managing consumers with a range of swallowing and communication needs. You will play a key role as part of the Interdisciplinary Team in coordinating clinical care for our consumers. You will assist with the completion of audits as required by the Quality of Life Activity Program and in accordance with the current Government guidelines. You will develop and provide clinical education programs regarding swallowing and communication disorders to consumers consumers representatives carers staff and students as required. As a skilled professional you will be required to maintain high quality professional documentation for our consumers in meeting the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology with full membership from Speech Pathology Australia
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience working as a Speech Pathologist
- Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards (ACQS) and Regulatory requirements
- Efficient time management and priority setting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work well within a team
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently
- Flexibility in travelling between sites as per operational requirements
